In using this website, reserving products/services, purchasing products/services, and providing information, you are deemed to have read and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined on this page. Ignorance of the company policy or the applicable local & state traffic laws.

Attention: Before you decide to commit to a New Orleans Bike Rental, Bike Tour, or Electric Scooter Rental – be sure that you are comfortable, confident, and capable of riding in an urban setting – the streets of New Orleans is not the place to learn how to ride a bike or scooter.

All participants must read & sign the Company waiver before departing on any activity. A parent or legal guardian must convey activity riding rules & expectations to minor participants (younger than 18 years of age) before giving the minor participants permission to participate in any activity by signing the Company waiver.

All participants understand that the Company does not carry health, medical, liability, property, or any other insurance coverage for for any person or their property. Participants are expected to personally cover all costs arising out of injury to any person or damage to any property, including property of the Company.

All participants agree to ride at their own risk.

The Company and its employees reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time. If you are drunk, confrontational, belligerent, uncooperative et. al., you will not be allowed to ride and a refund will not be issued.
You’re on vacation mon ami – be cool & have a good time!

Prices, availability and departure/arrival times are subject to change at any time.

Cancellations and reschedules will be determined by the Company without exception.

 

Terms & Conditions:

1. Participants must read and sign the Release from Liability Agreement prior to departing on any activity.

2. Anyone who has been drinking alcohol or is drunk to ride will be refused service. If Company staff determines that you are unable to safely operate the equipment, you will not be allowed to depart the shop on or with Company equipment – a refund will not be issued.

3. Your bike rental, lock and a helmet are included with your bike rental ticket purchase; electric scooter include a helmet.
Helmets are Recommended for All Participants, But Not Mandatory for Adults. All Minors Must Wear a Helmet.

4. Pedal Bike Rental & Pedal Bike Tour Participants must be at least 12 Years of Age. Electric Bike Rentals & Electric Bike Tour Participants must be at least 16 Years of Age – anyone younger than 18 Must be Accompanied by a Parent or Legal Guardian. Scooter Rental operators must be 25. Minor Riders must be a minimum of 12 years of age.

5. Anyone Younger than 12 Cannot Operate a Pedal Rental Bike or Tour; 16 Years of Age for an Electric Bike Rental or Tour.

6. Mobile Phones: Do Not use your mobile phone for calls, live video streaming, texting, et al. while in motion – it poses risk to you and others. If you must make a phone call, send a text etc. – pull over to a safe place to do so. 

7. Riders must be in good health, be able to operate, control and balance the equipment at the time of orientation. Please consult your physician. If the staff determines you unable to safely operate your bike rental, you will not be allowed to ride and a refund will not be issued.

8. Each individual is responsible for the rental equipment from the time the equipment is rented until the time it is returned. This includes damage and/or theft of rental equipment.

9. If the Equipment is Damaged or Is Not Working Properly – Please Inform Company Staff Before Your Departure or Once You Return Your Rental Equipment.

10. All Riders Must Comply with All Traffic Laws and Ride Responsibly.

Cancellations, Reschedules, Late Arrivals & Late Returns, Deposits, Payments & Refund Policy:

  • Cancellations & reschedules are at the Company’s discretion. 
  • Cancellations within 48 hours of your reservation time are charged in full – Sorry No Exceptions.
  • Any and all approved cancellations will have a transferable gift card issued.
  • Reschedules are dependent on tour availability and capacity – rescheduling is at the Company’s discretion.
  • ‘No Shows’ will neither receive a gift card nor a refund. Tickets are limited – as a small business, we cannot absorb the costs of ‘No Show’ riders.
  • Late arrivals: once the tour embarks from our starting point on the street corner near the shop – reschedules, gifts cards, and/or refunds will not be issued – please plan accordingly to arrive at the appointed time.
  • Cash, Bitcoin, Major Crypto Currencies & All Major Credit Cards are accepted for Payment.
  • Damaged & stolen equipment is subject to repair and/or replacement costs.
  • In the event of severe weather, we will contact you One Hour before departure to re-schedule your bike/electric scooter rental time, issue a store credit, or refund.
  • If the bike rental(s) is stolen, your account will be charged for the replacement costs of the bikes(s). Replacement cost is $650 U.S. dollars.
  • If the electric scooter rental(s) is stolen, your account will be charged for the replacement costs of the electric scooter(s). Replacement cost is $2000 U.S. dollars.

 

Weather Policy

  • Please do not contact us about the weather forecast – we are aware of the weather. Note – forecasts are for a general area and not necessarily for your specific location. Meteorologists are more often wrong than they are right.
  • In the event of severe weather, we will contact you via text message, email or phone call One Hour before the scheduled departure time to adjust the departure time or reschedule the activity.
  • If the Company cancels/reschedules the activity due to safety concerns, and your schedule does not allow for a new time, you will be offered a transferable gift card or refund.
  • With exception of Electric Tours & Rentals – Pedal Bike Tours roll rain or shine with exceptions for severe weather.
  • Bike Rentals are not sent out into raining conditions – the rain must stop before rental bikes are allowed to depart.

In the event of wet conditions, complimentary ponchos are provided free of charge.

  • If you or your party members decline to participate on the tour due to weather conditions deemed acceptable by the Company, neither a refund nor a gift card will be issued.
  • If any rider does not possess sufficient riding skills to safely operate rental equipment, that individual will not be allowed to participate in the activity -neither a refund nor gift card will be issued.
  • If you or your party members cannot or refuse to participate in the activity for any reason, neither a refund nor a gift card will not be issued.

  • Bike Pick Up & Drop Off: Our Office @ 317 Burgundy St. in the French Quarter
  • After Hour Return Instructions (24 Hour Self-Returns) Will Be Given to All Bike Rental Riders Before Departing.
  • Rental Bike Rental Time Options: 4, 8, 24-Hour & Multi-Day Bike Rentals are Available 6 Days a Week.
  • Electric Scooter Rental Time Options: 2+ Hours.
  • Electric Scooters must be back by the close of business the day of rental.

Need to Know Info:

  • We Have the Only 24-Hour Bike Rental Self-Returns in New Orleans.
  • Safe & Convenient Indoor Location in the French Quarter.
  • Select Pick Up Time (10 AM to 4 PM) During Reservation Process
  • Custom City Bike Maps Created by Ryan are Available for $3 & $5 – Price Dependent on Map Size.
  • 2 Self-Guided Tour Maps Available, Also Created by Ryan are $10 Each. Get a Discount if by Purchasing Both Self-Guided Tour Maps.
  • All Riders Must be Able to Confidently & Competently Display Skills Showing that They Can Indeed Ride a Bike Safely Through New Orleans.
  • Riders Who Cannot Display the Skills Listed in the Line Above Will Not Be Allowed to Ride a Electric Scooter Rental or Rental Bike.
  • If a Reservation was Made and the Rider(s) Cannot Safely Operate Rental Equipment – No Refunds Will Be Issued.

 

How Does the Rental Work?

  • Upon arrival, all riders/participants will sign the Liability & Release Waiver Form.
  • A company staff member will instruct you on Bike Rental or Electric Scooter Rental operation and functions as well as give you the riding rules, how to safely lock the bike/arm the scooter alarm, and give you tips on safe riding practices.
  • Your rental time begins when you leave the shop.
  • Return time will be set by Company staff prior to your departure.

 

Do I Have to Wear a Helmet? What Should I Wear?

  • Though Helmets are Included With Every Electric Scooter Rental  & Bike Rental– Louisiana Does Not Mandate the Wearing of a Helmet For Electric Scooter Riders.
  • Wearing or Not Wearing Helmet Is Up to You.
  • What Should I Wear?
    We suggest you to wear something casual and comfortable, appropriate dress for the weather conditions is advised.
  • We also recommend wearing closed toed shoes. Sandals or flip-flops are discouraged because of the high chances of toe injuries as well as the chance that they may fall off your feet while riding creating a safety hazard.

 

What Comes With My Bike Rental?

  • Cruiser Rental Bikes Include: High End Lock, Handle Bar Bag, Bell, Helmet, Puncture Resistant Tubes, Tires & Liners.
  • Road Bike Rentals Include: High End Lock, Helmet, & Water Bottle Cage.
  • Electric Scooter Rentals Include: a Helmet.
  • If You Need Directions, We’ll Help You Out.
  • We Do Have City Route Maps Available ($3 & $5) that Highlight the Best Areas of the City to Ride as Well as Places to Avoid.

 

Is There a Minimum Age for Bike Rentals?

  • Yes – In Order to Operate Pedal a Bike Rental/Tour Bike Participants Must be 12+ Years of Age; Electric Bike Rentals/Tours Must be 16+.
  • All participants younger than 18 must accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who can give permission for the minor rider to participate in the activity.

What Should I Do If My Bike Rental or Electric Scooter or  Needs Repair During My Rental Period?

  • Call the shop to inform a Company representative of the issue. We’ll do our best to advise you how to proceed.
  • It’s likely you should return the bike or electric scooter to the store if you’re close. If inventory allows, we will replace your bike or electric scooter with a new one and extend your rental period for an appropriate amount of time.
  • If another bike or electric scooter is not available for replacement, you will receive a partial refund or credit.

 

What Do I Have to Bring With Me?

  • A Valid ID, Credit Card, Good Attitude and a Smile.

 

Do I Have to Know How to Ride a Bike or an Electric Scooter?

  • Yes!
  • If you are not comfortable riding a bike or have never ridden a bike or Electric Scooter,  Bikes & Electric Scooters are not the best choice of activities during your vacation.
  • We want you to have a great time during your New Orleans visit, but we can’t risk your safety or the safety of others if you riding skills aren’t sharp enough for city riding.

 

Is There a Minimum Age for Electric Scooter Rentals?

  • Yes – You Must Be 25 or Older Minimum Age for Electric Scooter Rentals.
  • Minor Participants (10 to 17 Years of Age), must have a parent or a legal guardian present and must give permission for the minor to ride by signing the, “Release, Waiver, and Liability Agreement.” This is standard paperwork that is filled out by every one of our riders.
  • Minors Cannot Operate an Electric Scooter.

 

Can I Get a Refund Once I Leave The Shop?

  • Nope. Once you leave the office on a bike, electric scooter rental, or tour – your rental period/activity has begun and no refunds will be issued – no exceptions. Sorry, we do not work for free.
 

 

Where Can I Park My Car?

  • If you need to park your car, street parking in the French Quarter is 2 hours maximum.
  • For street parking, download the app as instructed on the parking meter; once your initial 2 hours has ended, you can pay for additional time via the app.
  • The best rates on parking in the French Quarter is the Basin Lot (on Basin Street). The rate ranges from $5-$10 for 10 hours when there are no special events scheduled.
